We go into birth as a women pretty scared (at least I do, and every time I have a baby, I'm more scared), yet once it's over and everything is okay, it's the most wonderful thing. From the other side, too, perhaps there's a bit of trepidation with coming to earth, but once we're here, hopefully surrounded by those who love us, we realize it's okay and we are in for some adventure!

And Heidi, you are so right about the body. I was thinking more about it and how we're so detached from our bodies, whether it be in thinking death is so awful (which, yes it may be, but it is also natural), or in objectifying ourselves. I can do better with embracing my body in whatever circumstance.Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11450808986911204788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-748179198768535574.post-56386986627782587492012-12-18T06:52:59.069-07:002012-12-18T06:52:59.069-07:00I think that we get so hung up on the body that we...I think that we get so hung up on the body that we forget that the body WILL be resurrected no matter what. I think Matthew 10:28-31 really puts it in perspective...
"28 And afear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather bfear him which is able to cdestroy both dsoul and body in ehell.

29 Are not two asparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very ahairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more avalue than many bsparrows.

Heidihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02088167620515014300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-748179198768535574.post-8709196411366254362012-12-17T00:37:18.995-07:002012-12-17T00:37:18.995-07:00Thank you for that beautiful metaphor of death as ...Thank you for that beautiful metaphor of death as a baptism.
